Reading
1. Read “Lyddie” up to p. 93. You should highlight the words that are unfamiliar to you, and look them up in the dictionary if they block your comprehension.
2. Compose twenty comprehension questions and corresponding answers. Mark the pages and chapters for your questions.
3. Prepare for twenty word definitions and sample sentences using the section in your workbook.
4. Make fifteen flashcards following the directions specified in the workbook.
As you read, take notes of anything impressive or questionable.
Essay
Write a first draft on the book “The Bronze Bow.” Think of three important words that you want to elaborate about the book. Then, write three body paragraphs using the three words as main topics for your body paragraphs. You can take notes of anything that you want to add or improve in your first draft.
You cannot participate in class unless you are prepared.
