For the book ¡°To Kill a Mocking Bird¡± Read ¡°To Kill a Mocking Bird¡± from Chapter 27 to the end and highlight the words that are unfamiliar to you. You should look them up in the dictionary if they block your comprehension.
For Your Workbook Unit 3: you can use your personal notebook if you are running out of space in your workbook. As you read, 1. Compose five comprehension questions and corresponding answers. 2. Make six flash cards and cut them up. Each student¡¯s CQs and flash cards should come from the following pages: Jennifer : chapter 27 Colin: chapter 28 Bryan: chapter 29 Elena: chapter 30 Scott : chapter 31
3. a. Select ten difficult words and look them up in the dictionary. b. Write down the definition in your workbook. Then copy the sentences with the words in the book. Again, specify the pages, where you get the sentences. c. Finally, make up your own sentences using the words. You are allowed to copy others¡¯ sentences in the dictionary, but you should state the sources if you are taking the sentences from them.
For your research topic Prepare a presentation document illustrating your insight toward the book, ¡°To Kill a Mocking Bird.¡± Select one to three points you would like to focus on. The points should include your thoughts, experiences, and emotions along with the story and implication of the book. You can also refer to your previous researches if necessary.
